Glossogyne tenuifolia (Labill.) Cass. ex Less., legitimate, scientific comb. nov. apni
Lessing, C.F. (1832), Synopsis Generum Compositarum: 212 [comb. nov.]
basionym: Bidens tenuifolia Labill. legitimate
  • Comment: Lessing lists the name as "Gl. tenuifolia Cass. Dict. sc. nat. LI. 475" [i.e. A.H.G.Cassini, Dict. Sci. Nat. 2nd edn, 51: 475 (1827)]. While Cassini indicates that Bidens tenuifolia Labill. belongs in a new genus or subgenus to be called either Glossogyne or Gynactis he does not definitely associate the epithet with a genus name as required by ICN Art. 35.2 (Melbourne Code, 2012).
