Blechnum cartilagineum Sw., legitimate, scientific secondary reference apni
Field, A.R. (2 January 2020), Classification and typification of Australian lycophytes and ferns based on Pteridophyte Phylogeny Group classification PPG I. Australian Systematic Botany 33(1): 63 [secondary reference]
  • Lectotype: "Nova Hollandia, 1823, F.W.Sieber 123 (lecto: S S-P- 1976*; isolecto: BM 001048218*, BM 001048219*, MEL 53932*, S S-P-1977*"
  • Text: Chambers and Farrant (1998, p. 369) cited the type of the name Blechnum cartilagineum as ‘Nova Hollandia, coll. Unknown; holo: SPA [F.W.Sieber, Syn. Fil. No. 123]; iso: MEL’. This is here treated as effective lectotypification by Chambers and Farrant, in accordance with ICN Art. 7.11 (Turland et al. 2018). Because Chambers and Farrant’s citation meets the relevant requirements of ICN Art. 7.11, their use of the term ‘holo’ is correctable under ICN Art. 9.10."
