Macrozamia secunda (Benth.) C.Moore, legitimate, scientific comb. et stat. nov. apni
Moore, C. (1884), Notes on the genus Macrozamia. Journal and Proceedings of the Royal Society of New South Wales 17: 120 [comb. et stat. nov.] BHL
basionym: Macrozamia spiralis var. secunda Benth. legitimate
  • Text: "Near Reedy Creek, east of Mudgee, where it was first found in 1858, but without fruit. Again found with only one old fruiting cone not far from Dubbo, by Rev. J. Milne Curran in 1883, who sent living plants to the Sydney Garden."
  • Comment: Moore makes no reference to a basionym but cites the same original material as that used as the basis for Macrozamia spiralis var. secunda, re-uses the epithet, and also provides a description. This is here treated as a new combination under Art. 41.4 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
