Baker, R.T. (1898), On two well-known but hitherto undescribed species of Eucalyptus. Proceedings of the Linnean Society of New South Wales 23(2): 164-167, t. v [tax. nov.] BHL
  • Type: "VICTORIA: Gippsland ("But But", "Apple-tree", "Apple-tree Box", "White Box", A.W. Howitt, F.G.S.). N.S. WALES: Colombo ("Apple-top Box", W. Bäuerlen); Albury ("Apple", Dr. Andrews); Gerogery ("Wooly-butt", J. Manus); Rylstone ("Woolly-but", R.T.B.); Bathurst ("Bastard Box", W. Woolls)."
  • Comment: The designation "Eucalyptus bridgesiana subsp. bridgesiana" is listed by S.W.L.Jacobs & J.Pickard, Pl. New South Wales 157 (1981). However, this autonym had not been established as no names of subspecific taxa had been validly published within Eucalyptus bridgesiana at the time (ICN Art. 26.3 (Shenzhen Code, 2018)).
