Intergrades are recorded between 'Eucalyptus obstans' (= E. burgessiana) and E. stricta (K.D.Hill & L.A.S.Johnson, Telopea 4: 258 (1991)). Hybrids are recorded between 'E. obstans'-E. stricta intergrades and E. triflora (K.D.Hill & L.A.S.Johnson, Telopea 4: 258 (1991)).
