Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
APC Comment:A reputed hybrid E. globoidea x E. pauciflora subsp. pauciflora is the basis of E. callanii Blakely (Pryor & Johnson, 1971; Chippendale, 1988). A reputed hybrid E. pauciflora subsp. pauciflora x E. radiata subsp. radiata is the basis of E. vitrea R.T.Baker (Pryor & Johnson, 1971; Chippendale, 1988).
Etymology:"From the Latin paucus meaning 'few' and florus meaning 'flowered', apparently referring to the paucity of flowering. The name is somewhat misleading as this subspecies can flower quite abundantly."
