Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
Lectotype:"Port Jackson, 1802–1805, R.Brown Iter Austral. 51 (lecto, designated here: K 001057881*; possible isolecto: LE 00008643*, E 00205066*, K 001057880*, MEL 672393*, MEL 672394*)."
Lectotype:"Kramer and McCarthy (1998b, p. 247) listed the ‘holotype’ of Pteris umbrosa as R.Brown Iter Austral. 57. I consider this to be a misreading of R.Brown Iter Austral. 51, of which four sheets are known, two of which are in K. The most complete of the K sheets is here selected as the lectotype."
