The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. Type:"The species is named in honour of Mr. E.E. Pescott, F.L.S., of Melbourne, who supplied me with specimens from Tallangatta, Victoria. ... It was discovered by Mr. A.B. Braine, and it blooms from the latter end of September to the beginning of December."
