Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
Comment:The name “Spyridium spathulatum (F.Muell.) Benth. var. spathulatum" is listed by A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 2715 (1991), but since the species name is illegitimate this autonym is not established, in accordance with ICN Art. 27.2 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
Comment:nom. illeg., nom. superfl. as the epithet daphnoides was available in Spyridium in 1863 and thus ought to have been adopted by Bentham (ICN Art. 11.4 (Shenzhen Code, 2018)).
