The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. Type:Syntypes: in dry pastures on the Thompson (lectotype (Grimes 1996), F.von Mueller, MEL 1563777; isolectotype K (hb. hook.)) and Latrobe Rivers (F.Mueller, MEL 1563776, W), and in South Australia, on the Torrens (not found) and Gawler Rivers (not found), on the Barossa Ranges (Dr. Behr, MEL 1563778, Dr. Behr 48, MEL 117199), near Villunga (F.Mueller, MEL 117198).
